Communications was definitely the big ongoing development across all computers, and with my expertise on tap, Amiga User International decided it was a good time to be extending its reach into the growing (but still pre-internet) online community; such hardcore technology enthusiasts would be sure to appreciate the more practical nature of AUI’s forward-looking content.
As a result, I was asked to set up and run an Amiga User International ‘Contact Zone’ on Compunet, and in August 1989, AUI published my introduction to the proposed service.
